Preface.
In the fire
He released a heavy sigh, inhale the smoke and
let it out slowly. Most of his face was hidden under a thick, old hood, behind
him there was only darkness. With the faint glow of his pipe could not see his
silhouette.
He introduced himself as a bard (Nobody
believed him, as his deep voice was joking) and suspected that he was traveling
through the dangerous forest alone. However, he offered to tell a story if we
shared our food and the heat of fire. We agreed, only because we could not
leave the traveler in the cold forest. We got comfortable around the fire,
keeping our weapons ready in case of danger and hope to begin his story. The
night was very cold and low, deep voice was quiet in the mountains, holding his
pipe near the story began.
Chapter 1.Genesis.
The story I tell is about those we call gods.
Listen carefully because this is the true story ...
Long ago, a while back that not imagine, there
was only a balloon in which all creation was mixed. There was no one to share,
the balloon was large and small, dark and bright, everything and nothing.
For hundreds of years, the globe began to grow
and eventually two powers began to form it. As they grew, the powers and
knowledge developed ego and separated in White Light and Darkness. The White
Light was formed by the female and called herself Einhasad. The Darkness was
formed by the male and named Gran Kain. These two bodies marked the beginning
of the universe and everything we know today.
Einhasad and Gran Kain joined forces to exit
the balloon. Here the globe shattered. Some pieces rose to become Sky, some
fell for Earth. Between Heaven and Earth had water and some parts of Earth for
Earth decreased. Between Heaven and Earth had water and some parts of Earth
formed islands. The spirit of the globe is called Ether, of course also
shattered with the breaking of the globe. This brought the variety of animals
and plants between people. The "Creatures of Genesis" were formed
from this spirit, the Giants were the best race. They were known as the wise,
because their intelligence was as spectacular as their strong bodies. The
giants promised to maintain confidence in Einhasad and Gran Kain were the
actions of the two gods that created their life and their world. Einhasad and
Gran Kain were satisfied with the giants and appointed them to be masters of
all creatures. This was before death and that paradise existed.
Einhasad and Gran Kain gave birth to many
godchildren between them. The first five enjoyed the authority of the land. A
higher goddaughter, Shilen, was charged Water. At higher godson, Paagrio, fire
control and the second goddaughter, Maphr, control of the islands. The second
godson, Sayha, became a scholar of the Wind. For the youngest, Eva, were not
elements, so she created the Poetry and Music. While the other gods were busy
with their responsibilities, Eva, wrote poems and calmed his brothers with the
music. And so began the Age of the Gods do not exist anywhere on earth unknown
to them.
Chapter 2. Creation of the races.
Einhasad was the Goddess of Creation and
created forms using your own spirit. Her children used their own energy to
create life from these forms. Shilen instilled the spirit of Water in the first
form. Thus was created the race of Elves. Paagrio instilled the spirit of fire
in the second form. Thus was created the race of Orcs. Maphr instilled the
spirit of the Earth in the third form. Thus was created the race of Dwarves.
Sayha instilled the spirit of the wind in the
fourth form. That's how the race of Arteia was created.
Gran Kain was the God of Destruction. When he
saw the work of Einhasad, was oddly jealous. He imitated Einhasad and created a
form of his own image. Then went to see Shilen, his eldest daughter and asked
her to infuse her spirit into the form. Shilen was very surprised and replied,
"Father, why did you do that?, Einhasad, my mother, is responsible for the
creation, please do not covet that job is not yours, a creature who receives
life from God Destruction only result in disaster "
But Gran Kain did not give up, after much
cajoling and persuading, finally able to get the consent of Shilen. "I'll
do it, but I've given the spirit of Mother Water. So all I can give you is the leftovers."
Shilen gave the stagnant and corrupt spirit of water to Gran Kain. Gran Kain
gladly accepted. Nevertheless, Gran Kain felt that it was not enough to give
just a spirit creature. So he went to see Paagrio, his eldest son, as Shilen,
Paagrio also warned Gran Kain. But he could not refuse his father. Therefore
gave the dying spirit of fire to Gran Kain. This was accepted with pleasure.
Maphr also warned and pleaded with her father with tears in his eyes but ended
up giving the barren and contaminated earth spirit of his father.
Sayha, in turn, gave his father the spirit of
wild and violent wind. Satisfied, Gran Kain took everything you got and shouted
"Look at the life of the creatures I am doing! See what has been born with
the spirit of water, the Spirit of Fire, Earth Spirit and the Spirit of Wind.
Will stronger and wiser than the Giants! they rule the world!
Gran Kain shouted with great pride to the
whole world and instilled the spirit within the creature of his own image.
Nevertheless, the result was terrible. His creatures were weak, stupid,
malicious, and cowardly. The other gods despised Gran Kain's creatures. To
overcome the shame of his failure, Gran Kain abandoned his creatures and hid
for a while. These creatures are called Human. The race of elves was wise and
able to perform magic. But they were less wise than the Giants. Therefore, the
Giants allowed the elves serve them in political and magical themes.
The race of orcs was strong. Possessed
inexhaustible strength and a strong will. Nevertheless, they were less strong
than the Giants. Therefore, the Giants allowed the Orcs were served in the War.
The race of Dwarves were skilled. They were good engineers, skilled craftsmen
and outstanding mathematicians. The Giants allowed them to serve in jobs in
banking and manufacturing. The winged race of Arteias was freedom-loving and
had an endless curiosity. The Giants wanted to capture and subjugate the
free-flying creatures, but as a Arteia was locked in a cage, it rapidly lost
strength and died. The Giants were abandoned, but allowed to fly free Arteias.
So the city Arteias visited the Giants to bring you news from around the world.
Humans could not do anything right and thus
became slaves of the Giants, making all kinds of jobs. Humans Life was not much
better than animals.
Chapter 3. War of the Gods.
The great god Kain was a free and uninhibited,
but made a great mistake by seducing Shilen, his eldest daughter. They took
their affair, avoiding the eyes of Einhasad, until Shilen became pregnant. When
Einhasad found out, was furious. Stripping her daughter out of its water
goddess Shilen Einhasad ordered to leave the continent. The Gran Kain turned
his back and Shilen was abandoned to their fate.
Being pregnant, Shilen fled east. And in the
midst of a deep, dark forest she gave birth, cursing Einhasad and Gran Kain
with each labor pain.
Infants born to the horrible pain of Shilen
and because of the desperation and anger of her curses became demons. Among
them, the strongest were called "dragons".
There were a total of six dragons, created
with curses against the six gods. Shilen was filled with anger towards the
expelled Einhasad, and towards Gran Kain who seduced and then abandoned.
Building on the strength of her children, she created an army to punish the
gods.
There were a total of six dragons, created
with curses against the six gods. Shilen was filled with anger towards the
expelled Einhasad, and towards Gran Kain who seduced and then abandoned.
Building on the strength of her children, she created an army to punish the
gods.
A stronger dragons were ordered to be in front
of the army of demons to fight against the gods. Upon hearing this, Aulakiria,
the dragon of light, looking with sad eyes Shilen said:
"Mother, do not know what you are doing.
Do you really want the eternal destruction of the gods? Really want your
father, your mother and brothers fall to the ground in pools of their own
blood?". Her pleas did not change the thoughts Shilen.
In the end the demons invaded the palace where
the gods lived and began a fierce battle. The six dragons completely destroyed
the palace of the gods. Even the gods were intimidated by the incredible power
of the dragons. The battle seemed destined to last forever. And if the war did
not stop, the world would cease to exist and all living things would be
annihilated.
Many messengers of the gods and demons were
destroyed or disappeared. Every day there was thunder and lightning as the
incredible forces clashed violently in the sky. The Giants and the other living
creatures of earth trembled as they watched the terrible struggle in the sky.
The fierce battle continued for several years,
and eventually the balance gradually left leaning to one side. Despite suffering
many injuries, Einhasad and Gran Kain had greater powers and destroyed many
demons. The Dragons held their struggle, but had deep wounds and were riddled
with scars. Her fatigue became more and more evident. After a while, it seemed
that the war would end with the extermination of Shilen's army. In the end the
Dragons opened their wings and flew to earth to escape. The surviving demons
followed. And while the gods wish to destroy that army who retired due to his
injuries all they could do was look like dragons and demons departed.
Shilen could not bear her sadness while their
children were dying one by one and lost the war. So he invented the Underworld
and ruled over it.
Chapter 4.La great flood.
After Shilen was gone, Eva inherited the
authority to rule over the waters. But Eve was by nature timid and after
witnessing the terrible death of her older sister and the war between the gods,
she became even more fearful. To avoid the heavy responsibility that, she dug a
tunnel at the bottom of a lake and hid.
No goddess to rule over them, the spirits of
water were without purpose and began to wander aimlessly. A lot of water went
to one place and formed a swamp. Water does not flow at all in another place
and there was formed a desert. Often, parts of the continent suddenly sank into
the ocean or a new island appeared suddenly from nowhere. In some places, it
rained day and night until all but the tops of the highest mountains were
submerged.
Where there were still any piece of land on
the water, all living creatures flocked to preserve his life and the earth fell
into pandemonium. Both the mainland and in the ocean, all suffering creatures.
On behalf of all living creatures, giants petitioned the gods for help.
Einhasad and Gran Kain searched everywhere on
the continent and finally found the lake in which Eva was hiding.
"Eve, look what happened because you
avoided your responsibility. You are destroying the harmony of this continent
to believe with all our efforts. Not tolerate you continue to disobey me."
Einhasad was so enraged that her eyes burned bright with roaring flames.
Due to flooding, countless giants and living
creatures departed to Shilen's world. This made Einhasad Shilen envy. Trembling
with fear, Eva ended up surrendering to his mother. When Eve took their
authority to control water, disasters gradually ceased. However, it was
impossible to restore the continent lay in ruins.
Chapter 5. The challenge for the Giants.
The giants began to harbor skepticism in their
hearts. Gran Kain had already proved his own stupidity creating a humble living
creature called man. Furthermore, due to the lascivious conduct of Gran Kain
and jealousy of Einhasad, The Underworld was created and various demons were
created. Because of the weakness and incompetence of Eve the continent was
severely deformed. The seeds of doubt began to sprout in the minds of the
giants. ¿Deserved his worship these gods?
The Giants could ride chariots made with their
own hands and go in and out of the palace of the gods. They could use magic to
raise an island in the air and live in heaven as gods. They could extend their
lives to look like living forever. The giant began to think that his power was
comparable to that of the gods. Despite his wisdom, became too arrogant.
And so the Giants began their intention to
become gods.
They began to experiment by modifying living
organisms to create new life forms. The Giants called the magic that such
miracles possible to "science." Drunk with power, the giants
organized a strong army to fight against the gods despite the error of Shilen, the
six dragons, demons and many who undertook the same task.
The gods watched the preparations of the
giants and angry. Einhasad, who had claimed the sole right to create life, I
was blind with rage. I swear to destroy all giants along with the continent and
the world. Gran Kain pleaded to remain calm.
"Just who are the Mother of
Creation," he replied, "destruction is my responsibility. You know I
had to resign when envy your task. I will punish the giants for his arrogant
behavior. If after looking forward to continuing to destroy the world, I will
fight you with all my power. "Gran Kain would not allow the destruction of
the continent, no matter how, and Einhasad was very offended by the
intervention of Gran Kain. Yet, as both were of equal status, she could not stop
it.
Finally Einhasad entered right. To punish the
giants, decided to borrow the hammer of Gran Kain - known as the Hammer of
Despair. Because of their immense destructive power, even Gran Kain had ever
used that weapon. Still full of fury, Einhasad lifted the hammer high above his
head and threw it toward the center of the city of giants.
Chapter 6. The end of the ages.
Hammer
of Despair. But even with the power of the giants, but could not divert the
path of the hammer slightly, still reaping the cities as it descended to the
world.
It was enough to destroy the largest city in
the world, countless giants and other races were instantly decimated. A large
hole was created on earth and huge waves covered the surface. Finally, almost
all the giants were slain.
Those who survived fled giant east to avoid
the wrath of Einhasad. His path was similar to Shilen who had taken in their
struggle. Einhasad continue hunting them one by one and burning them to death
with lightning. The remaining fugitive giants trembled with fear and prayed to
Gran Kain.
"Gran Kain, Gran Kain! We realize that
our way was wrong. Only you can stop the fury and madness of Einhasad. Do not
let us perish, we who have been born the same place as yourself, we who are the
wisest and most powerful creatures on earth. "
Gran Kain suddenly felt that was upon him a
feeling of pity for these poor creatures and reflect that the giants had
already suffered enough for his transgression. Raising the deepest waters of
the South Seas blocked the passage of Einhasad.
Einhasad shouted furiously, "What is
this?! Who dares to interfere in my way?! Eva, my dear brother, get rid of
water that blocks my way now or prepare to get into the footsteps of your
sister! "
Eva
feared Einhasad and immediately returned to the ocean waters. Einhasad
continued chasing the giants, killing them one by one. They cried again to Gran
Kain.
"Gran Kain! The most powerful of the
gods! Continuous Einhasad looming, determined to exterminate us! I pray, please
have mercy and save us! "
Gran Kain raised his land they were giants.
The great cliff prevented the prosecution of Einhasad and she screamed loudly.
"Mar, my dear sister! Who dares to
interfere with me?! Low earth at this moment. Or be prepared to go the way of
your sister! "
Frightened by these words, try to reduce Maphr
earth, but Gran Kain stopped her
"Einhasad, because you leave? All the
land knows your anger and tremble before your wrath. The wise but foolish
giants feel the evil they have done to the core. See for yourself! The proud
and noble race of creatures - who once ruled the earth - is hiding in a narrow
strip of land and trembling with fear for trying to escape you! They can not
defy the gods. This place is the giant prison for all eternity. Calm your
anger, your revenge is complete. "
Einhasad still felt anger, but could not act
against the wishes of Gran Kain - possessed strength was equal to his. She
decided that, as Gran Kain had said it would be best left to the giants in that
land close and sterile forever repent their sins rather than kill them all. He
finished his game and went home.
After what happened, Einhasad rarely
interfered with the events of the earth, since he had been deeply disappointed
by the beings of the Earth. Gran Kain also agreed not to show himself on earth.
The age of the gods was coming to an end.
Chapter 7. A return to the camp fire
The awkward pause in its history.
Captivated by the story, we had not moved as
we told the story of our world. His voice, though soft, penetrated deep into
our heads - as if it were magical in nature. The myth that we had spoken was
completely different from what we knew, yet nobody complained. We, the most
experienced warriors in all lands, we were captivated by this stranger,
nervous, even fearful of this mere man. When a nearby owl took flight we
shuddered at the sudden flapping of their wings.
The stranger laughed a laugh, get up the
smoldering pipe to his lips, and if history continued.
"Do not cast automatically just because
my story is different given that they know of the gods. There is evidence that
your priests are closer to the truth than a wandering poet. The story of the gods
is the will of the gods, not humans. So, how can a simple priests know the
truth? Listen again as I continue. This is the story of the earth after the
demise of the gods. This is your own history. "
The world fell into great confusion followed
by the sudden disappearance of the giants. Accustomed to the control of the
giants, elves, dark elves, dwarves and humans are faced with the harsh reality
of defending themselves. At the top of this fearsome new challenge, the world
in which Vivian had the ravages of the impact of Hammer of Despair. Many died
during the disaster that brought Einhasad, and many more died in the ensuing
confusion and chaos. The races of the earth earnestly begged the gods for
salvation, but the gods did not respond.
The first to take control of the situation
were the elves, as they were the race responsible for the policy during the era
of the giants. The elves succeeded in uniting races and continued with their
lives. But as time passed, he was clear that the elves did not have the same
capabilities to control the land they had the giants. The first to rise against
the orcs were elves.
"Are the elves stronger than us? No! Do
the elves the right to dominate us? No! We can not allow those who are weaker
dare to rise above us! "
The military might of the orcs was strong and,
having lived alone in peace, the elves were no match for pride and recklessness
of the orcs. Most of the land became orc territory in an instant and the elves
were driven to a corner of the continent. Here the elves sought help from the
dwarves, who, with his abundant wealth and superior weapons, they could have a
chance against the orcs.
"Race of the earth," cried the
elves, "Come to our aid. The violent orc hordes persecute us with their
absolute power. Come - let us fight together. "
But the dwarves coldly refused to aid the
elves. To their eyes, the world had changed in favor of the orcs. There was no
reason for the pragmatic dwarves join the weak side. The elves were furious,
but could not influence their decision.
The elves then decided to get help from the
race the wind - the arteries. Their skills recognized and air strikes would be
enough help for the triumph over the orcs elves. A delegation traveled alpha to
the ends of the earth seeking the help of the arteries.
"Race the wind, come to our aid! The orc
barbarians oppress us with their absolute strength. Let us unite and teach your
stupidity! "
But, as always, the arteries were not interested
in policy or land wars. Determined not to take part in either side and hide in
the depths of the inland. The elves despaired.
"Alas, no one will help us! Is this the
end of our race? They are dirty orcs who take the land and claim all the glory
and wealth? "
Chapter
9. A New Partnership
Discouraged by the pragmatists and neutrals
arteias dwarfs, elves were left without allies to carry out the war with the
orcs. Left to mourn his fate, the elves were surprised by the appearance of a
stranger among their ranks. The stranger knelt before the king elf, who came to
discover that the stranger was a representative of humans. The stranger wore a
crown made of tree branches.
"What happens, leader of the humble
people?" Said the elf king, "Come and make fun of our misery?"
The man bowed his head and spoke, "No,
wise king. We come to see if our feeble forces may be of some help. "
The elves were happy, as though humans were
foolish and weak, their large number could be helpful in battle.
"Very commendable on your part, human
king," formed the elf king. "Insignificant beings can be, but your
devoted loyalty and willingness to sacrifice your lives for us is admirable.
Come forward to the battle for victory and you will win good to be directly
between the elves. "
The human king bowed deeply before the king
elf, and raising his head, looking elf counterpart. "Very noble elf
king," he said, "We humans have a request to make before we fight for
the glorious victory of the elven race. Our power is insufficient. Our teeth
can not even scratch the skin of the orcs and our nails are useless against
your muscles. We beseech you, give us the power to face them. Teach us the
secrets of your magic. "
This bold proposition left the elves angry and
shocked. ¿Teaching magic to humans? Never! The elves managed, invoking spells
to turn the human into a heap of ashes, but the elf leader Veora interceded.
She felt the request was not threatening and should be honored. Humans were too
weak and it is doubtful that they could defeat the orcs without help. And with
their inferior minds, humans would be no threat even if they were able to learn
magic. And so she made a deal that later cost him his life.
Humans quickly absorbed the ways of magic,
learning much faster than the elves had expected. Human bodies, though not as
strong as the orcs had been strengthened through the continued efforts and
inner struggle between his class. They were adept with their hands and arms and
could deftly handle almost anything, their numbers increased so huge and
impressive. In a short period of time, the human army became a formidable
force.
Chapter 10. An ally becomes an enemy
The alliance between humans and elves began to
get ahead of the orcs. As the tide of battle turned in favor of the alliance,
the dwarves changed their alliance with the orcs and began building war
supplies for humans. With the strongest armor and sharpest weapons of the
dwarves, humans could now defeat the orc army without the help of effective forces.
Although the alliance victories grew in
number, the elves began to feel uneasy. They could feel that humans grew in
strength and beyond your control. Yet the elves did not allow their discomfort
became concerned because they could not imagine that the lowest of all races -
human waste - could conceive of a revolution. And with the final victory over
the orcs to reach the elves did not have time to spend on human concerns.
Humans continued to learn higher forms of magic, and eventually the war ended in
victory for the alliance between humans and elves. The orcs were forced to sign
a humiliating peace treaty and quickly retreated to the safety of their lairs
in the lands north of more.
The leader of the orcs laughed as he departed,
"Stupid elves. This victory is not yours but the dirty humans. How do you
propose to control these monsters you have created? "
There was indeed such words of resentment, the
elves now faced a new threat - humans. But after the long battle, the Elves
were too tired and weak to fight. By contrast, humans with their new magical
powers were strengthened. Thus, humans were raised against the elven race.
Too late, the elves realized that they had
taken under his wing to the descendants of dragons. A fierce battle between magical
earth shook again. But the elves were too weak to contain human strength. The
elves were driven back slowly until they were forced to retreat to the safety
of their forests. From the safety of his position, prepared the final clash
against humans. The elven magic was more powerful in these forests and sought
to use this advantage to victory.
The elves dug deep dungeons by quickly you
could hear the echoes of the clash of swords and battle cries. But the final
victory in a siege that lasted 3 months was for humans. Neither the pride of
the elves, or magical powers álficos forest, not even his superior magic could
cope with the innumerable tide formed by the armed humans. The elves suffered
great damage and eventually hope to the depth of forests. In their retreat,
conjured powerful magical barriers around their forests to prevent the passage of
humans or any other race.
Thus, humans became the conquerors of all the
earth.
Chapter 11. A Return to the camp fire
The stranger raised his head, had finished his
last story
The story was different from any we had heard,
yet it seemed strangely familiar. The beautiful elf maiden of our company stood
silently, tears rolling down her cheeks.
The night had closed while abroad even spoke,
and now the howls of the wild creatures were nowhere to be heard. The wind had
stopped rocking the branches over our heads, even the flow of dilute with mute
perished nearby stream. Just the sound of our breathing and the crackling of
burning fire tore the night. It seemed as if all nature around us containing
your encouragement to pay attention to the story told in the camp.
We met a little while abroad, clearing his
throat with a small cough, began again.
"Is not it ironic that the lowest of all
creatures, humans finally obtain control of the land? But that is the result of
human will. Not even the gods could imagine that humans ever become the
sovereign of the earth.
"Now
I will tell the story of the most brilliant human kingdom that ever existed.
This is the story of humans who walked the same path as the giants. "
Chapter 12. The history is rewritten
During the long battle against the orcs and
elves, humans began to form primitive kingdoms among them. The core group
consisted of the Athena clan and humans working with magic. Protect his people
with his power, kept order through threats, and occasionally became involved in
small and large battl
The order was quickly resolved when the leader
of Athena, Shuniman, united the regions currently known as Aden and Elmore. I
call this realm and proclaimed himself emperor Elmoreden. The crown of branches
that adorned the front of his ancestors was replaced by a gold crown with
jewels bright now adorn his brow. He became known as a presence comparable to
that of the gods in the volumes of his followers.
The emperor was concerned Shuniman limitation
of human life they had. The fact that Gran Kain, god of death and destruction,
was the creator, gave humans an inferiority complex. In addition, stories that
were created from the leftovers of other races were deeply humiliating to the
new rulers of the earth. To his new kingdom, it needed a new myth, a new story
to the show as noble beings.
Finally, and through major religious reforms,
Shinuman made Einhasad the goddess of humans instead of Gran Kain. Myths and
stories were changed and those practicing black magic and Gran Kain's followers
were harassed. Religious reform continues for generations until eventually all
humans believed that Einhasad, the goddess of good, was its creator and Gran
Kain was simply the god of evil. When he learned that, Gran Kain laughed in
approval.
"Although I serve, I am not angry. But
human ignorance, no matter how intentéis cover the sky with your hands - the
sky is really smaller than our fist?
Chapter 13. Elmoreden and Perios
While the emperor and the kingdom of Shuniman
Elmoreden grew and prospered, the Gracia region across the water was in
turmoil. The geography of Gracia was varied and dangerous, though many human
groups battled for control, no power had emerged to unify its government. Small
kingdoms dotted the landscape, claiming parcels of land for himself and led
small skirmishes and major battles while fighting for dominance.
Came the day when the mighty army of Elmoreden
invaded the land bridge across the West and the Kingdom of Grace was forced to
ally themselves for their own defense. Much of the royalty and the aristocracy
was killed in the process. The surviving aristocracy grew in power. Finally,
the invasion was repelled Elmoreden, and also served to create a foundation for
the newly united Kingdom of Grace. This new kingdom was called Perios.
Thereafter, Elmoreden Perios and locked
themselves in a dispute for dominance. Elmoreden, who had first established a
unified kingdom and possessed great military power, was far superior. Still
available Perios their own resources. First, the sea that separated the two
kingdoms limited the ways to attack. In addition, people had Perios powerful
relics left behind by the giants that could be helpful to achieve military
advantage.
Even with its overwhelming military power, the
kingdom of Elmoreden Perios could not conquer.
Chapter 14. Beleth and the Ivory Towe
The kingdom of Elmoreden was home to the Ivory
Tower, an institution for learning magic. The magicians working in the Ivory
Tower trying to recover, study and improve the old magic of the giants. The
magical abilities of students in the tower were magnificent, and at one time
that their influence on the kingdom was near the Elmoreden emperor.
Among them was Beleth, the greatest wizard of
all and one of the greatest geniuses who have walked the earth. He was obsessed
with the magic of the giants and managed to acquire almost all of his powers.
But the power of the giants was a cursed power not suitable for humans, and
having succeeded, Beleth's ambition and thirst for control grew enormously.
Alarmed, the kingdom and the Wizards of the Ivory Tower combined forces to
avail themselves of Beleth. But Beleth harbored tremendous strength and power
in the dark arts.
Finally, Wizards of the Ivory Tower, using the
banned black magic, managed to suppress Beleth's powers long enough to catch
him and lock him in the dungeon under the tower. But despite the knights and
wizards who protected the seal, Beleth succeeded in breaking the seal and
escape. Fled to Hellbound Island to recover his strength and continue his
ambition of conquest.
Black magic to trap Beleth released had side
effects. The southernmost parts of the region now known as Gludio dead land
were converted under the influence of black magic, and many humans were killed
when the spell was cast. The kingdom blame this on Beleth and propagated that
Beleth was a demon hidden among men.
Chapter 15. Discord among the elves
A major change occurred in the elven forests
during this time. Having lost control of the continent by humans, elves were
gradually losing their confidence. They began to forget his ambition to control
the land and were content with their peaceful lives in the woods.
There was a group known as the Brown Elves who
were dissatisfied with the complacency of the elves. They had a strong sense of
ambition, and insisted that the war with humans should continue - even if it
meant the use of the banned black magic. However, this position was met with
strong opposition from the other elves.
During this period, a human wizard appeared
among the Brown Elves and, approaching their leader said.
"King of the Elves Brown - you want
power. But the weak fear Elves Sílbanos influiros try to avoid you to get that
great power you crave. The only concern is to attack each other directly or
bring a plague that causes even more humans. It is these thoughts that have
brought insipid weakness to elven race.
The leader of the Brown Elves answer
cautiously, "Who are you, human mage? What objective're fooling? "
"My name is scraped and I'm just a simple
wizard. But I have the strength you want. I can help you in achieving your
ambitions and in return you will give me what I want. "
"And that is what you crave?"
"Your youth. The secret of eternal life.
"A slight smile appeared at the mouth of Desparion. "ANQUE is skilled
with magic, I'm still a human and my lifetime is not even 100 years. Then, King
of the Elves Brown, what is your decision? We can help each other get what we
want. "
Seduced by the powers of black magic that had
Desparion, Brown Elves accepted his proposition and learned the dark arts under
his tutelage. Desparion in turn acquired the knowledge of immortality and leaving
forests satisfied.
When you know what happened, the Elves Elves
drove the Browns, who had abandoned Einhasad and began to follow Gran Kain. A
battle erupted between the Elves. Brown Elves, acting as Desparion had taught
them, used a deadly spell to annihilate the Elven Trees. But the Tree Elven,
with his last breath, threw a curse on the Brown Elves. The curse frame rot
forests Elves and Brown became the race of darkness. Thereafter, Brown Elves
were known as the Dark Elves.
Chapter 16. The End of the Golden Age
The golden age of Elmoreden came about 100
years after its creation, during the reign of Emperor Baium. With great
charisma and leadership skills, Baium created the most powerful navy in the
history of the kingdom. The Navy led the orcs, who had considerable influence
in the northern parts of Elmore, a black forest, later known as the United Orc.
In addition, the Navy launched Baium repeated attacks against the kingdom of
Perios, and finally occupied the southern regions of Grace.
In his later years, Baium lost interest in the
conquest and use the forces of the kingdom to begin construction of an
elaborate tower rising into the clouds.
"My name inspires fear in every corner of
the continent. Tens of thousands of lives can be lost or saved with a wave of
my hand. My power is absolute. Just to have this power for some decades, I can
not allow it! No - I get a life eternal master of the gods and my kingdom
forever! "
The magnificent tower designed Baium take 30
years in its construction. I try to use the tower to climb to the residence of
the gods and obtain the secret of eternal life. When he had climbed the tower,
the gods objected to his plans and gave this answer:
"Son of the lowly humans, and one man: Do
you dare to soil our home to get a life eternal? Have not you learned nothing
from the lesson to the giants? Well, if eternal life is what you want, we must
attend to your request. But you should never leave your tower. "
Having brought the wrath of the gods himself,
Baium was trapped for all eternity at the top of his own tower. After the
sudden disappearance of the emperor, a fierce competition between the royal
family erupted over disputed throne. Numerous aristocrats also seized the
opportunity to claim the throne, which left the entire kingdom of Elmoreden
mired in internal conflict. The costs and work required for the construction of
the tower and had reduced the kingdom. Binding of the conflict and the struggle
for the vacant throne was the straw that broke the camel. The resplendent
kingdom of Elmoreden, powerful on the continent for over 1000 years quickly
fell into decline. Only in about 20 years, the kingdom was immersed in the
clutter and confusion.
Chapter 17. A return to the camp fire
The story, which had been exchanged for a meal
and the warmth of the fire, went to an ugly direction. We did not know the
identity of this stranger, because we did not even know was telling these
stories. Still paying attention, a captive audience, unable to look away or
move, as if an invisible force kept us glued to our seats.
The man acted as if there was anyone else. I
grab a few branches and leaves and throw them to the dying fire. The flames,
which were virtually extinct, burned again with renewed vigor. The man had not
even looked in our direction when he began to speak again.
"My story is already near the end. The
story I'm about to tell is very familiar - the power struggle between the
humans that continues even today. This is the story of the continent after the
collapse of Elmoreden. "
Chapter 18. Battle for the continent
Although the destruction of Elmoreden served
to delay the fall of the kingdom of Perios, nothing could stop the impending
plagues the southern regions of Grace, nor the devastating cold that swept
everything from the north. As Elmoreden before her, Perios disappeared in the
dusty tomes of history.
After the fall of these once great kingdoms,
the land was convulsed in a terrible turmoil and the dark times evoked memories
of the result of the great plague. The aristocracy human struggle for supremacy
between her and even gave land to non-human beings in exchange for military
aid. The orcs used this opportunity to gain a foothold, using his strength to
it. Reorganizing their armies, the Orcs once again launched its campaign to
dominate the continent. Their armies were powerful and soon occupied the
northern parts of Elmore, but the struggle between the noble orcs and low birth
weakened his power.
In the midst of these conflicts, the elves
could not do enough to fight for their lives against their dark brethren. And
the dwarves were no match for the army of orcs who acted violently and were
easily pushed aside.
At this time, there emerged a dominant human
faction, known as the Kingdom of Elmore. His claims to be direct descendants of
the Emperor of Elmoreden, were true or myth were accepted by the majority, because
they had the truth of the strength and the steel behind his words. Elmore's
army clashed with the army of orcs in many great battles. The war fought hard
for several years, causing untold casualties on each side. The forces were
matched eventually, because even though humans outnumbered their enemies, the
incredible strength of the mighty orc army was a formidable foe. In the end,
however, severely defeated, the Orcs were driven back again to their own lands,
which consumed the time planning his revenge. As for the dwarfs, the few who
remained on the continent were driven deep into the mountains Spines.
With its military strength now diminished, the
Elmore army finally won control of all lands north and moved southward, seeking
together the entire continent under the banner of Elmore. But this union was
not performed. The Oren, the most powerful of the kingdoms of the South,
prevented the invading army with strong magicians and well-trained soldiers,
and Elmore could not match an army that fought to defend their land.
Several southern kingdoms grew under the
protection of Oren and together they form a nation. These kingdoms maintained
balance each other and grew strong and prosperous.
Chapter 19. The ascension of the two kingdoms
Many wars accompanied many generations, and
away from chaos, Grace became the first node to join the threads of the unit. A
man named Paris, with his military prowess and tremendous strength brought
glory to his people, winning many battles and claiming land in the name of the
Beheim.
Paris reached legendary status when he and his
armies were pitted against the ferocious Quaser Highlanders in a desperate
struggle against Thor, the mightiest warrior of the Quaser, Paris wounded him
seriously. Tor, who was considered a legend because he had never lost a battle
he asked.
"Are you really a human? So hard, so fast
... "
In front of his enemy, Paris looked over the
battlefield and said, "I really unify this land ... Brave warrior of the
north, promise your loyalty and together we will conquer those who dare oppose
us "
And so Paris led the White Hawk Knights,
Knights of the wind and now new allies mountain through the lands of Gracia
reaching many military victories. Beheim land increased by five times its
borders and as for Paris, he organized a revolt against royalty and ascended to
the throne.
Meanwhile the southern lands also bursting
with activity and many were due to the turbulent news Gracia and Elmore. A
charismatic leader named Raoul appeared and led his own campaign staff to join
a force under its command. A fiery speaker, Raoul defeated those who opposed
him not with weapons but with words. His speeches were often generally like
this:
"Lords of the Earth! Do you see that is
happening beyond our borders? Formidable enemies advancing towards us as we
speak! The kingdom of Elmore has long sought our wealth, our lands and is only
awaiting the right moment to strike. If the region of grace beyond the seas
also decides to move, we will be swept away! There is no other choice but to
unite our armies under one banner and prepare for war.
Raoul use persuasion to firmly attach the
southern lands. But the threat of Elmore kingdom was not as great as perceived,
as they were too busy with the massive uprising of the orcs to focus on Aden.
However, Raoul first combined forces with its
ally Inadril, and together these lands established the kingdom of Aden. Unlike
Paris, Raoul waged a bloodless campaign and easily moved westward to acquire
Kiran and Dion.
Oren was in where Raoul had the first
resistance to his plan. Oren claim to be the leader of the southern lands and
would not accept another leader who was not his own. Eventually the two
kingdoms clashed, but the kingdom of Aden maneuvered a remarkable victory. The kingdom
of Gludio, witness the strength of the Army of Aden, voluntarily chose to ally
with him, ending and the unification of Aden. After that, Raoul became known as
the King of Unification.
Chapter 20. Heirs of Earth
Shortly after the unification of Aden, Gracia
established their own land when the last opposition, Hwuh, fell into the hands
of Paris. Paris moved the capital to Arpenino and reorganized the structure of
his kingdom.
Aden was herself once was a force to be
reckoned with its successful defense against the attack of Elmore. However, he
turned to a new page in history with the sudden death of Raoul. Detecting the
proper moment to strike, Elmore repeatedly invaded the northern lands of Aden.
Raoul's successor, Travis got rid of the invaders, but soon died of a
mysterious illness. Next in line to the throne was a boy of sixteen named
Amadeo.
On hearing the news, Paris said,
"The heavens are helping the kingdom of
grace! A king of sixteen? That will be the downfall of the kingdom of Aden!
"
But seriously underestimated the young Paris
Amadeo. The young king triumphed in a large-scale defense against Elmore and
Paris found his opportunity to conquer Aden was slipping away. Regardless, the
advice of all, including his henchman, Dillios, Paris launched a massive attack
on Aden by sea and land.
The results were catastrophic. Asteir, the
ousted king of Elmore, joined forces with Aden, who had long been his father's
enemy. "Have you no shame? You should kill yourself with your own sword to
be supporting the enemy of your father! "Paris screamed in anger. Asteir
ignoring the comment, replied, "I will take measures with the puppy later,
but now you're my main prey"
Kiran's battle was a key moment in the war and
troops were defeated and demoralized Grace, retiring to their own land. The
failure of the invasion of Aden made his mark in the pride of Paris, because he
had never known defeat. Because of that, Paris became ill and died soon after.
Grace's heir was a frail man named Carnaria,
which many deemed inappropriate to rule the kingdom. Cucarus, from the
opposition, challenged Carnaria for possession of the throne. Advised by
Dillios, Cucarus gained popularity among the people of Grace and Carnaria
divided the kingdom into two factions. The north and south of Grace became
bitter enemies and fight all his energy consumed.
This was the best news for Amadeo, and used
the lull in the fighting to strengthen the kingdom of Aden. Through these
efforts, Aden, Elmore and Gracia entered a period of peace and ushered in a
difficult time of peace.
Chapter 21. Epilogue
When he had finished the story, the light had
begun to creep into the dark sky. The long night had passed and dawn came.
Nothing remained except fire smoldering ash. The narrator again lit his pipe
and puffed thoughtfully. "So my story comes to an end for now With time,
the legend continues, perhaps? Who knows ... Will someday your names in my
story? "
The light of morning sun began to rise and I
could detect that a really significant event was happening in front of me. I
got the courage to ask him. "Who are you? Why tell us this story and as
you know them? "
The man wordlessly stood. When he rose began
to grow. He had seemed a man while he was sitting was now a giant, twenty feet
high, its shadow covered the whole group. His features were still
distinguishable beneath his hood. And then he slowly and subtly began to
evaporate. I can only describe now as if the edges wither and suddenly a gust
of wind carried it as if it were only dust.
He had not told us anything, but now I think I
know who he was. Dressing for storytelling to the races of the world is exactly
the kind of act that would make one that has existed since the beginning of the
world ... Maybe even the one who created mankind?
